The Product may cause the Customer’s vehicle to run cleaner when the Product is installed properly. The Company does not purposely bypass any emissions equipment in the programming or install “defeat devices” for any vehicles whose intended use is not off-road.

This Product is not endorsed by the manufacturer of your vehicle and there is no affiliation between the Company and the manufacturer of your vehicle. Installation of the Product in your vehicle or use of the Product with your vehicle may limit or void any and all rights under any warranty provided by the manufacturer of your vehicle. Upon your installation of the product you assume all responsibility related to any limitation or nullification of the manufacturer or dealer warranty. The Company accepts no responsibility for the limitation or nullification of any warranty. Any warranty not provided herein, and any remedy which, but for this provision, might arise by implication or operation of law, is hereby excluded and disclaimed. The implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any particular purpose herein are expressly disclaimed by the Company.

The Company has no input or control regarding the use and or abuse of the Product by the customer. The Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the performance or safety of the Product after it is installed by the Customer. Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable to Customer or other third parties for any damage to the Customer’s vehicle or the loss of use of the Customer’s vehicle or for personal injuries suffered by any individual, or for any incidental, special or consequential damages, whether arising out of negligence, breach of warranty, breach of contract, or otherwise. The Company’s liability for any damages, loss and/or claims associated with the Product shall be limited to the price of the Product paid by the Customer. The Customer hereby releases the Company from all liability, claims and damages associated with the Product, with the sole exception of the Company’s liability for the refund of the purchase price of the Product to the Customer in the event that a court of competent jurisdiction determines the Customer suffered damages directly resulting from the malfunction of the Product.

We do however take great pride in our work and it is a pleasure to help you achieve a excellent running car. Things you can do to help us make our tune better is to provide datalogs, scanner readings, dyno sheets, or just a really helpful description of the problems. With our experience we can also help diagnose other problems which may be interfering with the tuning.

I've got a '96 or '97 car that is OBD2. Which performance tuning package should I buy?

If you are looking for the all out most power, the OBD1 conversions will yield 5-7 horsepower more than a programmed OBD2 PCM. The OBD1 also has free diagnostic software available and the updates are free. BUT, some states are now looking into plugging in to your OBD2 car and checking for a properly functioning OBD2 PCM with NO codes. The OBD1 conversion PCM will fail this test. You could swap your original PCM back in to pass the test, but some prefer to just reprogram and OBD2 PCM.

What can you do for my car?

What we can do for your car will vary depending on year and model, but overall what we strive for is better power, better drivability, and better fuel mileage. We do this by adjusting things such as timing, air/fuel, power enrichment, etc. We can also help with torque management, removing the speed limiter, raising the rev limiter, accounting for any modifications you may have, help with the idle, disable VATS, etc. Between both offices at PCMForless, we have seen just about every combination on every GM vehicle!

Where did you learn to program these vehicles?

I began programming on my personal vehicles a '94 Impala SS with a 396ci stroker motor (4200lbs and runs 12 flat). I have since aquired a 2000 Corvette and installed a 224 cam as well as a 2004 Silverado SS that we have installed a small cam in as well and it is running 13.8 in the 1/4. Through many hours of testing with these vehicles as well as many customer cars on the dyno I have learned what changes are effective. - Bryan I worked with a Chevrolet Dealership where I met some extremely gifted GM techs who race themselves. After spending hours reading GM service manuals, sharing knowledge with the techs, and playing with GM's Tech 2 scan tool I became inspired to tune my own car. Eventually I began tuning other cars and trucks and have really become quite successful. - Alvin

Low overhead costs and efficient business practices allow us to offer our programming at a great price to you. We are doing the same things (and even more in many cases) as the others and making the same gains (or better) but try to keep our prices reasonable. We have found by doing more in volume we can strengthen our library of tuning files so even an exotic parts combination is something we have worked with before.

Why should I add a 160 degree thermostat and LT-4 knock module?

The 160 degree thermostat will run the engine cooler and will help eliminate any knocks and pings that can be associated with higher engine temperatures. The LT-4 knock module assists the PCM in eliminating false knock that is picked up from noise in the engine area that is not knock. Things such as after-market ignitions, loud exhaust, roller rockers, misadjusted rockers, wear in the valvetrain, etc... can cause false knock due to their noise. This causes timing retard and robs you of horsepower! Many Impala club members have seen 4-10 horsepower gains depending on how much false knock they were getting.
